Feb 8: The Nude Ewe will be at UK Ravelry Weekend 2010 at the University of Stirling, Scotland. This will be our first trip 'abroad': do visit if you're in the area, or if you're participating at the UK Knit Camp!

 

Jan 30: The Nude Ewe has made its BBC Radio debut! Thanks to 3 Counties Radio for having us on!

 

Jan 19: We've secured a stall at Woolfest 2010; do check it out and help support Cockermouth's economy in the wake of the floods. And drop by our stall!

 

Jan 19: Nude Ewe wool and kits are now available at Garden Friends Farm Shop at Roxton Garden Centre. Pay them a visit next time you're in the area!

 

Dec 3: The Nude Ewe has won a Gold Mark award in the 2009 CPRE Bedfordshire Living Countryside Awards!

 

Dec 6: Come find us at the Stockgrove Park Christmas Fair being hosted by The Greensand Trust! This is the perfect chance to pick up some last minute gifts!

 

Sept: The Nude Ewe has been featured in issue 125 of SlipKnot, the Journal of the Knitting and Crochet Guild!

 

July: Central Bedfordshire Council has profiled The Nude Ewe in its monthly residents' newsletter News Central

 

Jun 12: Hot off the press and hot off the sheep: Issue 15 of Yarn Forward magazine includes an update on The Nude Ewe project, and photos of our freshly shorn Norfolk Horns!

 

Jun 10: We've had a feature article in the latest issue of Chiltern News magazine. Most of our flocks are in the Chilterns so this is a great way for residents to meet the sheep!

 

Mar 10: The Nude Ewe has made its debut on the BBC - check it out!

 

2008

 

Dec 9: The Nude Ewe will be at Woolfest June 26-27 2009. This national show celebrating Nature's finest fibres takes place every year in Cockermouth, Cumbria. We're thrilled to have been invited to participate, and just as thrilled to have a couple days in the Lakes!

 

Oct 30: Two more batches of fleece are at the mill waiting to be processed! Nude Ewe 'Speck' - spun from a flock of Beulah Speckled Face sheep - and another batch of 'Heb' will be available early in the new year. Many thanks to Natural England and the Chilterns Sustainable Development Fund for the funding and support!

 

Oct 19: The Nude Ewe will be at Bromham Mill for this year's Apple Day celebrations. Stop by for a visit and check us out!

 

Oct 18: to celebrate National Knitting Week, the Nude Ewe will be at Moonstone Yarns in Barton-le-Clay. Come check us out at this new yarn shop at the Olde Watermill Shopping Village!

 

Oct 3: The Nude Ewe has been profiled in the autumn 2008 issue of Positive Living magazine!

 

Sept 19: we've just sent some Wensleydale fleeces off to the mill! Wensleydales are the softest sheep in Britain, and the fleeces will be spun to a lovely DK weight yarn. We'll let you know as soon as Nude Ewe 'Wes' is available!

 

Sept 6-7: The Nude Ewe will be at the Woodworks! festival at Millennium Country Park, Marston Moretaine. Woodworks! is an annual celebration of wood, woodlands and wood products. Drop by and say hi!

 

August: We've been featured in Local Craft Matters, a new free quarterly magazine for crafters in Beds, Bucks and Milton Keynes. Check them out!

 

July: Wildlife Action, the newsletter of the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough

 

June: Yarn Forward magazine is a fresh and funky magazine based in Hertfordshire. Their Summer 2008 issue includes a feature on The Nude Ewe - check it out at your local newsstand!

April 2008: GAP News #41 is the newsletter of the Grazing Animals Project, a UK-wide network of conservation grazers and livestock practitioners. GAP runs an enquiry service, workshops and training programmes in support of local conservation grazing schemes.
